All Haugland Group divisions endeavor to build the safest, most environmentally friendly projects, while adapting to changing industry standards, varied field operations and the world around us. Project-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASPs) serve as an essential tool, guiding each project from kick off to completion. All HASPs incorporate Owner/Project-specific requirements, and are collaborated on by our management, operations, and safety teams, as well as our subcontractors. Throughout all project phases, task-specific Job Hazard Analyses are developed to assist with Environmental Health and Safety impacts during high hazard tasks.
Haugland Group’s industry-best safety department, working in unison with Risk Management, measures the effectiveness of its program using leading and lagging indicators, reporting several monthly indicators for each division, comparing them against OSHA and BLS national averages, then adjusting and focusing training needs where necessary. As a result, while our manhours increase, our OSHA numbers continue to decrease and are all well below the national averages.
