Steve Squillante brings more than 30 years of experience to Haugland Energy in the energy and construction industries. He provides operational guidance on all major construction projects, as well as at the affiliated Greenport Power Generation Facility.
Mr. Squillante has focused his expertise on electric power system projects, transmission and distribution line construction and maintenance, substations and power plants. He has overseen major storm restoration and broad outage management efforts throughout the Northeastern United States during critical hurricanes and weather-related event recovery efforts.
After beginning his career with the Long Island Lighting Company (KeySpan Energy), Mr. Squillante worked on critical projects in all major regional power generation facilities, including Northport, Port Jefferson, Glenwood, Far Rockaway, Barrett, and all the combustion turbines. More recently, he commissioned a major addition to New York City’s generating capacity, working on the commercial operation of a 250MW combined cycle power plant at the Ravenswood facility in Astoria, Queens.
As a seasoned electric system veteran he brings practical knowledge and experience to the Haugland Group, while making sure all that major energy projects are managed effectively.
